Valve block design

Valve assembly systemin which either all valves for a machine control or only individual, recurring function groups (function blocks) are arranged on a block. In both cases the block has the task of connecting and linking individual devices. In this way the number of ports - and therefore the risk of leaks - is minimised. The requirements for ease of access and small installation volume are also met (Figure B 20).

A disadvantage is that

  • They are not very flexible,
  • expansions or modification of a control are practically impossible,
  • Interchangeability is often limited and troubleshooting is made more difficult,
  • They are only cost-effective for series production machines.
