Over the years, several different processes have been developed for the spatial arrangement of the valves (controls) in a system, some of which still exist side by side.
In hydraulics:
A distinction is made between:
- Pipe assembly:today this is only used for check valves;
- Mounting wall: this is used in smaller systems and teaching systems. Due to the open design and the large assembly area, the acoustic radiation is high.
- Chain construction design: A distinction is made between series connection, parallel connection and block stacking assembly.Today it is still the standard method of assembly.
- Valve blockPreferred design method of directional valves in mobile hydraulics;
- block design: in general, this is becoming increasingly important in the form of function blocks (modules). It is the standard method of assembly for 2-way plug-in valves.
The selection is generally dependent on system-specific considerations and generally application parameters, such as the possible power density and costs (Figure V 8).
