Timer element

A distinction is made between:

• Binary timer elements:

Switching element, which passes on binary input signals at a different time;

• Delay element:

Timer element, which reflects the change of the input signal over time with a delay;

• Signal contracting element:

Timer element, which contracts the input signals;

• Signal stretching element:

Timer element that elongates the input signals (DIN 19 237).
