Thermodynamic measuring

Process to monitor the operating state of a hydraulic system or individual devices with the aid of temperature and pressure measurements. It uses the hydraulic fluid to carry the information and is based on energy contents and balances. It does not depend on the performance variables of the system.

Thermodynamic measurements can be used to calculate not only the total efficiency of hydraulic systems, but also offer the option of continuous monitoring, fault diagnostics and function controls without removing components. Thermodynamic measuring is therefore a means of detecting faults early and of replacing components in a timely manner.
