Ramp

Time function which produces a general increase or decrease to a specified end value when moving and braking (Figure R 9). As the ramp is equal to the integral of a step function over time, the time depends on both the gradient and the difference between the start and end value. The ramp is used in feedback control technology as a test function to determine the transfer behaviour of a system ().

In >fluid technology, ramps are primarily integrated in the activation of> proportional valves in order to adapt acceleration and delay processes to the respective requirements. The incline and decline ramps can be selected separately.
