Phase-frequency response

Part of the description of a linear, time-invariant transfer element whereby the phase-frequency response represents the frequency-dependent element of the angle through which an is shifted in relation to the sinusoidal input signal. In graphical terms, it is mainly represented as a Bode diagram along with the amplitude response based on the value, expressed in logarithmic terms, for the frequency f or the angular frequency ω (Figure P 6).

The phase-frequency response (as a mathematical function or represented in graphical form) is the phase angle arc F(jω) for the frequency response F(jω) in relation to the frequency.
