Mooring control

Specific adjustment of a hydraulic motor in order to drive mooring winches, the idea being to generate constant tensile force when winding and unwinding the cable. In order to achieve this, the displacement is adjusted in line with the pilot pressure, while maintaining a constant torque level, although this may be modified in accordance with the conditions. If the cable is not under tension, the operating pressure and therefore the pilot pressure will be low and the motor will experience minimal displacement until the mooring tension is adjusted at the winch (Figure M 30).
