Jet pipe amplifier

Hydro-mechanical converter (amplifier) system for servo valves, which is based on the conversion of kinetic energy to static energy. A jet pipe, which can be actuated by an electro-mechanical converter (e.g. torque motor), distributes (in rest position) the emitted oil flow accelerated through a nozzle equally to two collector nozzles, in which therefore the same dynamic pressure is created (Figure S 99).

If the jet pipe is deflected, one collector nozzle takes on a larger portion of the flow, meaning that the pressure increases here, which pushes the control piston on the main stage accordingly.
