Leakage occurring inside a device. It is not visible from the outside, but can involve a loss of power. With pumps, for example, this may be a flow of leaking oil from the high-pressure side towards the suction side, while leaks in directional valves tend to be from the consumer ports or the pressure connection towards the tank connection.
