Oldest form of elastic seals. They can be used as two lip seals for sealing at the inner and outer ring (Figure N 9 a) or as a single-lip ring with an adhesive section for single-sided sealing. The sealing lip is arranged on the inside (b) or the outside.
In order to generate the necessary preload during installation, the inner lip has to be smaller and the outer lip has to be larger than the installation space.
