Filter tissue

Tissues comprise any number of layers on top of each other that are made by the irregular arrangement of fibres (randomly orientated fibre tissue). As a consequence a large number of small, but irregular pores are produced that represent a twisting path for the medium flowing through.

The individual fibres in the tissue are held together by a suitable binding agent (e.g. synthetic resin) at the points at which they touch.
