Filter installation

A differentiation is made between installation in the main flow, in the partial flow or in a separate circuit (secondary flow).

Filters in the main flow filter the entire flow rate. These include suction filters (Figure F 14 a), low pressure filters (b), high pressure filters (c) and return filters (d), if they are dimensioned large enough to be able to absorb the (mostly significantly) larger reflux flow.

If this is not the case, only a partial flow is filtered (e), i.e. only part of the flow rate passes through the filter and the rest goes straight to the tank without filtering.

In very large systems filtering is undertaken in the secondary flow (f), as a separate circuit is selected in which a pump presses the fluid through the filter independent of the working cycle, as well as mostly through a cooler.
