Most important group of pressure gauges on which the measuring organ deforms elastically and proportionally to the pressure. This deformation is therefore a direct measure of the magnitude of the pressure. As a rule it is converted by a pointer into an angle of rotation and in this way indicated.
Elastic pipe (bourdon type) pressure measurement devices do not require any auxiliary electrical energy.
