Damping network

Dynamic stabilisation method for oscillations based on the removal of energy by throttling, leakage (bypass) or also friction with the special feature that it can only be activated if oscillations occur. The steady-state system behaviour is in general hardly affected.

A damping network comprises a controller for damping and a downstream damping device. Both together form additional feedback in the hydraulic (Figure D 6).
