Analogue computer

The analogue computer represents the problem to be solved as analogue physical variables, e.g. as lengths, resistances among others; the problem as a whole is represented here. Analogue computers are progressive computers with continuous comparison values and operate dynamically, unlike digital computers.

Analogue computers are particularly suitable for scientific and technical problems. They are easier to program, however they are very expensive if accuracy requirements are high.
