Munich, 30th September 2026 – HAWE Hydraulik has received a Silver rating for the first time in EcoVadis’s latest sustainability rating. This places the internationally active family-owned company among the top 15 percent of all companies evaluated by EcoVadis worldwide. Following last year’s Bronze rating, this result marks an important milestone on the path to even more sustainable and responsible corporate management.
The silver medal confirms the progress HAWE has made in sustainability management. The evaluation focused, among other things, on measures and structures in the areas of the environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. Key factors behind this improvement included, in particular, the consistent expansion of relevant processes and guidelines, as well as the successful implementation of numerous measures across various areas of the corporate group.
A key focus was on reducing environmental impacts and promoting climate-friendly technologies. These include, among other things, investments in renewable energy, the expansion of EHS certifications, and energy-efficient solutions at various locations. Examples of this include the groundwater heat pump in Freising and the ground-mounted photovoltaic system in Kaufbeuren, through which HAWE continues to advance the expansion of a sustainable energy supply.
In addition to environmental aspects, HAWE Hydraulik has also further expanded its occupational health and safety measures. New solutions for handling personal protective equipment, further ergonomic improvements to workstations, and health programs to promote physical and mental well-being all contribute to creating safe and modern working conditions.
